Christina earned a B.A. in Music & B.S. in Music Education (2022) and a M. A. in Curriculum & Instruction (2023) from the University of Connecticut. During her time at UConn, she studied violin under Dr. Solomiya Ivakhiv and was a member of the UConn Symphony Orchestra.
Christina has been the Director of Orchestra & Choirs at Orville H. Platt High School in Meriden, CT since 2022. She directs two orchestras and three choirs, and she coaches lead singers in Platt's musical productions.
As a violinist, Christina has had the opportunity to perform across genres. Since 2013, she has performed in pit orchestras for major productions including Les Miserables (2018, 2022), Fiddler on the Roof (2012, 2013), Into the Woods (2021), The Prom (2024), and many more. Christina performed with The Piano Guys at Jorgenson Center for the Arts during their 2018 National Tour. During her time at UConn, she widened her performing experience through the UConn Symphony Orchestra, Collegium Musicum (a Historical Performance ensemble), the CT Bach Festival, masterclasses with masters like Irina Murasanu, and so much more.
She is currently working on her first chamber music album of violin duets with her friend and colleague Cristofer Zunun. This album is projected to be released in July 2025.
As a pianist, Christina's expertise is as an accompanist and chamber musician. She has accompanied choirs and instrumental soloists of all levels and plays at numerous weddings.
As a conductor and artistic director, Christina has had the privilege to lead and learn with the Southington Festival Chorale (2016-2018) and the UConn Chamber Orchestra (2021-2022). She has music directed Platt's musical productions including Mean Girls (2023) and 9 to 5: The Musical (2024). She has also directed plays, including Platt's production of The Bookstore (2024).
As a teacher, Christina is dedicated to equity and accessibility in Music Education. She has worked with students of varying ages, abilities and experiences across CT. She has worked in schools and studios of Meriden, West Hartford, Glastonbury, Newington, and Southington to teach piano, strings, and choral voice.
